To provide assistance to the Catering Manager in the preparation and production of meals for the restaurant/cafe and Farm Shop. To be responsible alongside the Catering Manager for full service in the restaurant/cafe.
Job Description: All aspects of food preparation and service (Breakfasts, Lunches, Afternoon teas)
Liaise with Farm Shop staff for stock replenishment
Take full responsibility for the running of the kitchen in the absence of the catering manager
Participate in opening/closing procedures for the restaurant and kitchen
Participate in all aspects of kitchen cleaning
Minimum of 2 years cooking experience within a busy kitchen environment
Food Hygiene Certificate desirable
Good customer service skills with adults/children (open kitchen so will involve some friendly interaction with our visitors!)
Work on own initiative
Literacy and numeracy skills
Car owner/driver essential
UK citizenship or valid visa to work in UK
This is a full or part-time position working on a flexible rota. Because of the nature of the business, you will be expected to be available for work both weekends and bank holidays.
