Farm Shop/Admissions Supervisor

Spring Barn Farm Park is a growing family business on the outskirts of Lewes East Sussex.
We offer our visitors a Farm Shop, Farmhouse Kitchen Restaurant, Function Room, Campsite and children’s farm attraction. We are looking to recruit an experienced retail assistant for a full time position to work in our Farm Shop and across the business. An interest in local/Sussex and own produced products essential. This position has great potential for someone wishing to work in a close knit team in a growing business
You will :
• have experience working in a retail environment
• have a keen eye for merchandising
• have experience with stock management and ordering
• demonstrate excellent customer service
• be a self-motivated team worker
• a good communicator
• have high standard of hygiene
• be able to work under pressure
• be able to work on own initiative and be adaptable
• have good literacy/numeracy skills
• Experience using EPOS tills
• Have the ability to direct and support junior members of staff

You will have
Two current referees
UK citizenship or valid visa to work in UK
Own transport essential
.
Salary on dependent on qualifications and experience from £13,500 – £16,000
Flexible seven day rota to include weekends and bank holidays
28 days holiday p.a.

Waiter/Kitchen Assistant

Spring Barn Farm Park is a growing family business on the outskirts of Lewes East Sussex.

We are looking to recruit a waiter/waitress for a full time position to work in our cafe. This position has great potential for someone wishing to work in a close knit team in a growing business

You will :
• demonstrate excellent customer service
• be a self-motivated team worker
• a good communicator
• have high standard of hygiene
• be able to work under pressure
• be able to work on own initiative and be adaptable
• have good literacy/numeracy skills
• Experience using EPOS tills an advantage
• Waiting experience desirable but not essential

You will have

Two current referees
UK citizenship or valid visa to work in UK
Own transport essential

Salary dependent on qualifications and experience
Flexible rota, working 5 days a week.
We are a visitor attraction, so our busy times tend to be when other people have their leisure time, therefore, you will need to be able to work weekends and bank holidays.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
We aim to ensure all guests receive the best service in all areas of the farm whilst made to feel welcome. During weekends and school holidays the Farm can get very busy where the quality of customer service, attention to detail, providing quality catering and ensuring the health and hygiene at the farm is paramount. Our staff are required to be energetic, enthusiastic, responsible, trustworthy, hardworking and reliable.

Roles vary on a day to day basis with each member of the team having their own responsibilities depending on the areas you are trained in.

 Responsibilities can include:

Play Barn supervision
Coffee Shop and other catering outlets
Seasonal Attractions/activities
Cleaning/Toilet Checks
Other duties also include cleaning, litter picking etc

Experience
No experience is required but we ask you to be enthusiastic and willing to learn.
