EXPERIENCED FARM SHOP ASSISTANT

Due to staff progression we now have a vacancy for an experienced assistant in our Farm Shop.
We are looking to recruit a dynamic individual with retail experience for a full time position in our farm shop and across the business. An interest in local produce and an enthusiasm for creative retailing is essential. This position has great potential for someone wishing to work in a team in a growing business.
You will:
• Have experience working in a retail environment
• Have a keen eye for merchandising
• Have experience with stock management and ordering
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills
• Be a flexible, team player
• Be a good communicator and motivator
• Have high standards of hygiene working with ‘Safer Food Better Business’
• Be able to work under pressure
• Be able to work on own initiative and importantly be adaptive
• Have good literacy/numeracy skills
• Have experience using EPOS tills & cashing up
• Have experience in staff supervision

You will have:
• Two valid references, one of which must be your current/most recent employer
• UK citizenship or valid visa to work in the UK
• Own transport essential

The position is full time, including weekends and bank holidays. 28 days paid holiday per annum.

EXPERIENCED CHEF/COOK

We are now looking to recruit an experienced cook to join our kitchen team to produce excellent food in our growing busy restaurant/cafe and Farmhouse kitchen and to provide provisions for the farm shop. Although classical training is not necessary, we require someone who can work well under pressure and adapt well to new challenges easily.

We operate in the leisure industry and are open seven days a week (closed Christmas day and Boxing day only).
Regular hours 8.30 –- 5.30 (seasonal variations) 5 days a week.

You will :
• be happy to interact with the visiting public
• be a good communicator
• have high standards of hygiene
• be able to demonstrate flexibility in approach to all aspects of the business

Required:
Two current referees
UK citizenship or valid visa to work in UK
Own transport essential

This position has great potential for someone wishing to work in a close knit team in a growing business.
Salary dependent on qualifications and experience
28 days holiday p.a.
